    Job Summary:

    The Manager of Compliance Training and Communication will manage the Vail Resorts Compliance Training and Communications function, reporting to the Director of Corporate Compliance. Core responsibilities will include the development and management of the training strategy and 3-year training roadmap, design, development, and maintenance of training curriculums, creation of online and instructor-led Compliance training content, training reporting, and LMS administration. This role will also manages compliance communications and awareness campaigns to drive a culture of integrity and mitigate compliance risks.

    • Works with the Director of Corporate Compliance to develop the Compliance Training and Communications strategy and manages all facets of the enterprise compliance training program.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field. Advanced degree a plus.
    • 5-8 years’ relevant work experience in compliance training or learning and development.
    • Strong project management and change management skills required.
    • Experience developing training content applying instructional design principles. Use of training authoring tools a plus.
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems and administrations. Experience with Saba Learning Management System (preferred)
    • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms.

    Job Summary:

    The General Manager will have the rare career opportunity and expectation to launch a newly constructed property, The Kindred, in the Keystone market just steps from the Keystone Gondola.  This property is still under construction and is slated to open in early summer of 2025. The RockResorts branded property will consist of 107 hotel rooms, 95 condominium units many of which will be managed as short-term rentals, an upscale spa operation, private club, as well as a bar and restaurant and various leased commercial spaces.  This position is the coveted chance for a General Manager to launch a complicated and competitive property one of the largest ski destinations in the US.  This journey will include leading the property during pre-opening and opening with direct oversight of all lodging, club spa and food and beverage operations and strategies. The General Manager is accountable for all aspects of the property including: day-to-day operations, oversight of all staff and staffing, customer satisfaction, property maintenance and appearance, alignment and follow up in all matters of Health and Safety, and meeting all RockResorts standards and developing property specific SOPs.

Success in this position is exhibited by strong financial performance, a well-maintained property, highly engaged employees and guest satisfaction at elevated standards of luxury.  Accomplishment of required tasks as outlined will require end goals be met such as driving financial results, promoting positive cultural environment, seeking and acting towards constant improvements and financially ensure profitability.

     

    The General Manager will be accountable for demonstrating exceptional strategic leadership in long- and short-term planning and strategy development to deliver outstanding overall performance.  Initial expectations will include a successful financial and cultural launch of the property with strategic stabilization over the next 12-24 months.  Initial delivery of new expectations for service and programming will be required while simultaneously assuring appropriate operating profit and maintaining luxury service standards.  Accountability driving property room rate and occupancy to maximize revenue.  Implementation of an F&B concept that will drive successful a successful restaurant and bar operation in addition to servicing banquets.  Strong business acumen is required.

     

    In addition, luxury brand standards and luxury amenities are an integral part of hotel operations for both guests and employees - as such, applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in operating at a luxury level of service, in a highly seasonal resort setting. Brand standards and adherence to established plans will be critical expectations from the outset. Successful background required in the leadership and oversight of all aspects of full-service hotel operations including robust food & beverage, rooms operations, spa operations, and property maintenance.  Of utmost importance is the ability of the General Manager to aid in all the above through the productive alignment and management of critical stakeholders inclusive of hotel ownership group, Management Company, Resort Management, and employees.

    • Support guest recovery opportunities as necessary through both short-term resolution and long-term strategic action planning.
