Partners with Value Optimization Director and facility Senior Leadership to identify, prioritize and address value
optimization areas of improvement around outcome effectiveness, service, convenience and cost. Works with Senior
Leadership, Directors, Managers, physicians and front-line associates to develop and implement process improvement
plans to achieve significant value results throughout the organization. Responsible for leading, managing and overseeing
clinical and business Lean/Six Sigma process improvement initiatives. Mentors, coaches and teaches Lean/Six Sigma
Facilitators in the use of Lean/Six Sigma and change management tools to ensure timely completion of projects and
expected results. Assists Senior Leadership in creating a culture of innovation, performance excellence and change by
delivery of the Lean/Six Sigma methodology, Change Management tools and Rapid Decision Making processes.
Coordinate with other Value Optimization Managers to ensure synergy with Lean/Six Sigma projects and best practice
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Organizational Development
degree or related field.
Master's degree in Business or Healthcare preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
Three years of experience in a process improvement environment.
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma deployment and training, facilitation and project management.
Expertise in utilizing Lean/Six Sigma tools such as Value Stream mapping, Rapid Improvement events (Kaizen) and 5S.
Experience in strategy development and deployment skills.
Ability to analyze, synthesize and manage financial performance of process improvement initiatives.
Demonstration of high performance and documented sustained project results.
Strong leadership and project management skill required.
Ability to effectively facilitate large groups of people in order to inspire learning and excitement about creating a
continuous improvement culture.
Knowledge of organizational principles, standards and regulatory requirements for health systems is desirable.
Demonstrates excellence in oral and written communication. Advanced computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Certification in Lean/Six Sigma Change Management and Facilitation skills certification preferred Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred

Utilize knowledge of Lean process and Six Sigma, when applicable, to define business opportunities help design innovative solutions that will enable the organization to improve: financial performance, clinical quality, service quality (patient and associate satisfaction), and efficiency of service delivery. *
Collaborate with leadership to identify and address high priority improvement projects and Value Streams for both the entity and hospital operating group that will accelerate transformation and promote effectiveness. *
Drive high impact and sustained improvements through the use of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement tools. *
Collaborate with the group and other facilities to enable leverage of local process improvement initiatives across the hospital operating group. *
Develop a project prioritization funnel in coordination with the Director Value Optimization that tracks Value Stream progress and financial results. *
Foster a continual process improvement environment throughout the organization; be a role model for change Lead and manage Lean/Six Sigma projects, plan and evaluate using project management techniques. *

Assists with preparing department budget, including personnel, space allocation and necessary resources. *
Develops and directs other procedural and/or special projects related to the Value Optimization. *
Utilizes Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, MINITAB, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio to analyze data and educate leadership. *
