  • The Veterinary Assistant class series uses three levels and describes assistant/support work in the field of veterinary medicine. Positions in this class should have an overall education in veterinary health and handling of a variety of domestic, exotic, and large animal species with emphasis on assisting the entire veterinary team.   • The department accepts applications on an ongoing basis from individuals who are interested in obtaining research positions within the department in laboratories in the areas of Veterinary Pathology research. The open positions may be temporary or special assignment and may be for limited time periods. This is an open pool, and applications will be forwarded to open positions as they become available.

    Research Associate positions are available in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology in the area of Veterinary Pathology research. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or a closely related field.

    These positions include interaction with the Principal Investigator as well as other research assistants. The individual will be part of a team of researchers completing a federally funded research project and will have a broad range of responsibilities which may include but are not limited to:
    • General lab organization and ordering of supplies.
    • Management of records associated with compliance with Human or Animal Institutional Review Board protocols and guidelines.
    • Data collection and subsequent analysis using custom computer programs.
    • Data entry and management of electronic data records.
    • Statistical analysis.
    • Training other personnel in data collection and analysis.
    • Supervision of the activities of undergraduate and graduate student research assistants.
    • Physiological experiments with animals.
    • Handling of laboratory animals and tissue/blood samples.

  • With almost 1,200 undergraduate students, the Department of Mechanical Engineering is the third largest major at Colorado State University. In support of this growth, the Department invites applications for a full-time Non-Tenure Track Faculty (NTTF) member to teach second, third, and fourth-year Mechanical Engineering courses, including MECH 201: Engineering Design I, MECH 202: Engineering Design II, MECH 231: Engineering Experimentation, MECH 307: Mechatronics & Measurement Systems and MECH 417: Control Systems. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual who loves teaching and shares our dedication to excellence in undergraduate education.

    The person selected for this position will be slotted into one of two NTTF working titles (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor) based on experience. Specifically, the selected individual who has a PhD and < 5 years of academic teaching experience will have a working title of Assistant Professor and the selected individual who has a PhD and > 5 years of academic teaching experience will have a working title of Associate Professor.

    This position supports the educational mission of the Department and its commitment to provide high-quality educational opportunities. The Assistant / Associate Professor may be given responsibility for one or more undergraduate laboratories; responsible for the quality, efficacy and learning outcomes of experiments, and modification and change consistent with the Department’s goals. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop and teach new courses consistent with the academic goals of the Department and its students.

    We are seeking individuals passionate about contributing to the department’s educational offerings and providing meaningful service to the university and the broader community. The role involves teaching and mentoring at various academic levels, from undergraduates to Ph.D. candidates, and actively shaping the future generation of engineers.   • The Department of Computer Science at CSU seeks an instructor to teach 100-, 200- and 300- level computer science courses during the 2023-2024 academic year. The position's normal workload is teaching 3 established courses per semester. The instructor is expected to adapt course materials to best fit their teaching style without altering core content.     The instructor will lecture, conduct office hours, administer exams and quizzes, develop assignments, and establish and apply grading rubrics (either directly grading or with the help of undergraduate teaching assistants (UTAs) that the instructor supervises).

    This is a non-tenure track position and an annual appointment, which may be renewed based on performance and projected course demand.

    Instructors must hold a Masters of Science degree (or higher) in computer science or a closely related field by the start of the assignment.

  • The Department of Statistics seeks applications in 2024 from individuals who are interested in obtaining non-tenure track teaching positions within the department. Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or the continued availability of funding. The department provides instruction of both undergraduate and graduate students.   • Scientists predict that climate change will increase the frequency, intensity, and cost of inland flooding events within the United States. At the same time, there is evidence that people are moving into areas with higher flood risk. To understand the economic impacts of flood events, it is critical to develop a better understanding of how individuals respond to information related to flood risks and events. The selected individual will work in collaboration with Dr. Bayham, Dr. Goemans, Dr. Manning, and Dr. Suter in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics to analyze responses to flood risk, information about flood events, and evacuation orders using mobile device location data. The research will include the compilation and analysis of datasets related to the timing, location, and intensity of flood events. Finally, the selected individual will quantify impacts on short-run and longer-run economic activity.

    Position requires ~20% in-person in Fort Collins, ~ 80% remote (negotiable)
  • The Field Education Program Coordinator in The School of Social Work is a position embedded within the instructional framework of the School of Social Work. The Field Education Program Coordinator must be skilled in working with students who hold varied and intersecting identities, including diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, first generation students, international students, students with DACA status, students who speak multiple languages, students who are LGBTQIA+, and others. As the practice-based learning experiences within the internship are of equal importance to classroom experiences in the curriculum per the Council of Social Work Education, the position coordinates, advises, manages, and oversees the required student internship experiences. This position provides oversight of Field Instructors and Field Supervisors to assure learning outcomes are met throughout the internship.

    The Field Education Program Coordinator provides direct placement, advising, and informal instruction, support, management, and oversight of course requirements for students within their
    practice-based learning experiences in order for students to implement and complete the Bachelor’s or Masters of Social Work (BSW or MSW) degree program according to accreditation standards. The Field Education Program Coordinator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and tracking the grading submitted by the Field Instructor, Field Supervisor, and Field Liaison of every student in the assigned field courses. They consult with a team of Field Instructors, Site-Supervisors, and Field Liaisons to support the monitoring of growth and learning in accordance with the individualized student learning plan covering the competency areas. The Field Education Program Coordinator ensures students meet their required professional and practice-based learning goals toward the achievement of their degree.

    The Field Education Program Coordinator assists in developing the School’s multiple community partnerships to implement the field education requirements. Community partners collaborate to support student learning experiences for the fulfillment of the BSW and MSW field education requirements. The Field Education Program Coordinator works collaboratively as part of the Field Team to ensure learning experiences laid out in the student learning outcomes plan align with BSW and MSW Program requirements. The Field Education Program Coordinator additionally collaborates with the instructor for the Field Seminar courses as needed. Other duties as assigned are often embedded within the framework of this position.
