The Department of Chemistry seeks applications from Ph.D. level scientists/engineers who are interested in obtaining temporary or special research positions at the research scientist/scholar level.
Level I
is for individuals generally within three years of receiving their Ph.D., and with significant professional accomplishments.
Level II
is analogous to the assistant professor title for regular faculty. It generally includes people with three to seven years of experience beyond the Ph.D. level, and with very significant professional accomplishments.
Level III
is analogous to the associate professor title for regular faculty. It generally includes individuals with more than seven years of experience beyond the Ph.D. level, and with very significant professional accomplishments.
The
Senior leve
l is analogous to the full professor title for regular faculty. It generally includes individuals well beyond the Ph.D. level that have demonstrated outstanding, sustained, and extraordinary professional accomplishments, as well as professional leadership.
Ranking and qualifications within these levels are done on a case-by-case basis with factors that include the publication record, past research funding, professional honors and awards, decisive discoveries, and management experience. Applicable department research areas include, among others, analytical, biological, chemistry education, inorganic, materials, organic, and physical chemistry. The department also provides instruction of both undergraduate and graduate students. Masculinity Programming and Violence Prevention Coordinator
The Masculinity Programming and Violence Prevention Coordinator in the Women and Gender Advocacy Center is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Assistant Director of Educational Programming.
The priority for the The Masculinity Programming and Violence Prevention Coordinator is to co-create and facilitate critical and intersectional prevention programmatic efforts that provide a space to learn about and discuss the broad and deep construction of masculinities as they relate to power, sex-positivity, consent education, sexual assault and interpersonal violence prevention education, and positive gender identity formation. The goal of these prevention efforts is to create a collective shift away from coercive cultural norms towards respectful and caring interactions inherent in a culture of consent in which creating agreements, looking for common ground, and respecting boundaries is the norm, for both sexual contact and everyday activities.
This position will collaborate with the Assistant Director for Educational Programming and various campus partners by creating brave spaces for men and masculine identifying people to unlearn harmful dominant gender socialization and relationship norms while building positive masculine identities and learning how to have healthier, more connected relationships with themselves and others in community.
This position will also support the Center in facilitating other Center programs as needed, such as Supporting Survivors and Bystander Intervention. This position will become trained as a victim advocate.
Surgical Oncology – Tenure Track – Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applications for a 12-month tenure-track Assistant, Associate, Full Professor in Surgical Oncology. This position will be housed in the Department of Clinical Sciences located on the Veterinary Health Campus of Colorado State University. The integrated oncology service at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital offers the latest and most advanced diagnostics and treatments in surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and clinical trials to a bustling client and referral base. This position will support clinical and didactic teaching in the DVM program, fellow training and mentorship in surgical oncology, graduate student/resident training, and research in the areas of veterinary and translational oncology. This faculty position will partner with other surgical oncology faculty members to provide full time (52 week) clinical service in surgical oncology. The Department recognizes that there is a need for an additional faculty to sustain clinical excellence and teaching programs, and for development of new knowledge so has created the currently advertised position. The language is intentionally broad to allow for maximum flexibility in meeting the selected candidate’s professional interests upon hire. Research Associate I – Water Quality Research Associate
This unique position will allow the right candidate to support the AWQP in a diverse array of field research, lab, and operations activities. The AWQP has statewide agronomic and water quality research and demonstration projects; this position would spend approximately two thirds of their time supporting all aspects of these projects in the field. This includes site design and planning, installation and maintenance of instrumentation and all project research areas, soil and plant sample collection and processing, data entry and analysis. In addition to field research, the position will work with the AWQP team to enhance the outreach and Extension component of the program. This may include contributing to work on peer reviewed journal articles, factsheets, technical bulletins, and other outreach publications. The AWQP works with diverse public and private sector partners. This position will help strengthen existing relationships and support collaborative opportunities. This position will be the first point of contact for addressing student questions related to fieldwork. The AWQP team works closely together on all aspects of the work mentioned above and this position will be expected to support any other program goals as needed.
HVAC Technician (Mountain Campus)
This is an HVAC Technician position. This position will provide technical expertise in the areas of HVAC equipment, boilers, and commercial kitchen equipment. This position will troubleshoot HVAC & Plumbing Mechanical systems. This position is a fully functioning journey level HVAC Technician.
This position will also be responsible for the troubleshooting, replacing, monitoring, repair, and service for the following systems: HVAC, dining equipment, plumbing, wastewater treatment, and associated controls systems and all related hardware, software, and alarms, boilers, and HVAC equipment, and associated mechanical components.
Troubleshoots, monitors, repairs, and services a variety of HVAC/R equipment including programing, calibrating, testing, monitoring, and adjusting system parameters for efficient operation.
This position will also be required to perform general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, plumbing, painting, electrical, structural repairs to walls, ceilings, floors, doors and door hardware, grounds, snow removal, and kitchen equipment.
This position is required to access a variety of spaces not limited to basements, tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, chases, and roofs using stairs, ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and other means to service or inspect equipment.
PSRL &. OBRL Quality Control Specialist
This position is a Research Associate II. The Translational Medicine Institute (TMI) within the Department of Clinical Sciences, Colorado State University, is seeking a Quality Control Specialist Research Associate II to support the laboratories working on Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies within the TMI to ensure that the Pre-Clinical Surgical Research Laboratory (PSRL) research studies being submitted to federal regulatory agencies are complete, accurate and following the guidelines set forth within the GLP parameters. This position is integral to the success of PSRL and Orthopedic Bioengineering Research Laboratory (OBRL) research studies. Quality control is defined as part of the quality management system focused on fulfilling quality requirements as well as operational techniques and activities on a daily basis.

Postdoctoral Fellow (Dao)
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Associate to start on May 1, 2024 or shortly after. This position focuses on understanding the interactions between plants and crops and biotic and abiotic stresses using drone hyperspectral remote sensing. We are broadly interested in addressing questions related to the detection of physiological and biochemical responses of plants to the impacts of droughts, pests and pathogens, and invasive species and weeds from gene to species and landscape scales. Our approach integrates various methods and tools including but not limited to remote sensing, spatial science, biochemical and genetic methods, biological modeling, and machine learning. Therefore, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in image processing, computer science, machine learning, and/or engineering.
This postdoctoral associate will have opportunities to join and collaborate with researchers in the Department of Agricultural Biology, College of Agricultural Sciences, USDA-Agricultural Research Service, NSF-ASCEND Biology Integration Institute, and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The associate also has opportunities to learn and use our high-end drone hyperspectral (HySpex Mjolnir VS-620), multispectral, thermal, and LiDAR sensors and will be trained on drone operation with CSU Drone Center.
