Candidate will work in a collaborative environment to define, plan, execute and support mechanical ground support equipment for Ground and Flight testing \. Includes Support Equipment \(SE\) design, development and delivery to the integration and test teams as well support post\-delivery\. The candidate will be required to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and peers, to identify and develop requirements and design concepts for successful Mechancial Support Equipment implementation\. The candidate will manage and be held accountable for execution and development of project cost and schedule and will be required to report out to management on project status\.
\- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
\- Extensive experience, 5\+ years, in the development of Mechanical Support Equipment, Mechanical Ground Support Equipment \(MGSE\) and/or Special Tooling \(ST\) used for the integration, test, transport and handling of aerospace products or other high dollar critical hardware\.
\- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis
\- CAD \(Creo, I\-Deas, etc\.\) modeling, drafting and release proficiency
\- Technical Lead and/or lead of small teams experience
\- Experience in a Program Start\-UP environment
\- CAM \(Budget\) experience/knowledge
\- Management of supplier deliveries and execution
\- Design for manufacturability experience
Experience working with supply chain \(procurement, internal/external suppliers, quality…\) to drive hardware production through delivery
\- Working knowledge of ASME Y14\.5 including GD&T as well as industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical and structural systems\.
\- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
\- Travel is required
