Full-Time Patient Support Representative

Essential Job Duties and Reporting Responsibilities Include the Ability to:

  • Provide Top-Notch Customer Service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional office environment and follow all Company policies consistently.
  • Answer every call as quickly as possible with extreme professionalism
  • Meet or exceed performance standards including but not limited to answer rate, handle time, and quality
  • Take back-to-back phone calls from patients nationwide
  • De-escalate upset or irate customers in order to satisfactorily address their customer service needs
  • Work closely with billing and mailing teams to resolve patient issues
  • Effortlessly multi-task, speaking with the patient while accurately noting information in the database file
  • Follow up with patients whose request could not be resolved on the first call
  • Conduct pro-active patient outreach
  • Educate on Product Features & Troubleshooting
  • Assist customers with understanding how to use their device
  • Conduct troubleshooting for common patient usage issues
  • Answer questions regarding Zynex’s suite of pain management devices
  • Explain Payments & Billing
  • Provide patient education on Zynex Medical’s billing processes and insurance EOBs
  • Explain patient bills including charges, insurance allowable, adjustments, coinsurance, and payments
  • Take payments by phone
  • Negotiate Payment Plans
    • Educate patients on the value of their device
    • Find a payment plan that will allow patients to meet their financial obligation
    • Negotiate pricing for equipment with patients as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Background in customer service, patient care, healthcare, and/or sales
  • Genuine interest in helping people
  • Ability to relay confidence and compassion over the phone
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to perform with a team to achieve daily goals and complete tasks
  • Reliability regarding attendance M-F and arrive to work on-time

Additional Skill/Qualities -highly valued:

  • Experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) devices (i.e., TENS, E-STIM).
  • Sales experience
  • Familiar with health insurance billing processes and HIPAA
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Education:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or higher college degree preferred.

  • Fast-paced, professional office environment
  • Proficient use of office equipment: computers, copiers, fax machines and telephones
  • Ability to communicate effectively via spoken, written and electronic means
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
