Job Description
Description: The candidate will work side-by-side with customers in 22nd Space Operations Squadron (22SOPS) whose mission is to enforce the Space Access Tasking Order (SpATO) and provide space safety analysis for Satellite Control Network (SCN) operations. The candidate would support a variety of Orbit Analyst technical services to 22SOPS while generating products to support SpATO activities for SCN operations. Daily tasking includes generating satellite visibilities, Two Line Elements (TLE) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) predictions for launch and early orbit and on-orbit assets. Other tasking includes technical analysis for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) investigations, anomaly resolution actions, launch and maneuver operations, antenna bias calculations, perform special studies, and assist with hardware/software test and validation. In this position, the candidate would provide experienced input to assist with technical assistance to multiple aspects of orbital-related issues, such as message handling, data handling and processing, troubleshooting, training, and other types of technical support related to orbital analysis.Travel to the backup location may be required and is typically one week annually. Occasionally on-call and off shift work will be required to support mission critical events. Candidate will be required to gain Level 1 certification within 120 days of start date and Level 2 certification one year after start date. On the job training will be provided to ensure your success.
Basic Qualifications:
• Cleared Top Secret Clearance with the ability to gain SCI is REQUIRED
• Five or more years of experience of conducting analysis and applying problem solving skills in the below areas:
o Orbital Analysis
o Maneuver/Relocation Processing
o Satellite Decay/Reentry
o Launch, early orbit, disposal operations, and anomaly resolution
• Strong customer service and effectively verbal communication skills
• Relevant degree or relevant military experience
• Previous or current customer experience with 22SOPS or Delta 6
Desired Skills:
• General SCN knowledge or experience
• Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), or Join Space Operations Center (JSpOC) experience
• Experience with coordinating with various programs during the launch and early orbit process
• Experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK)
• Experience with ephemeris and TLE formatting, to include identifying errors in lines to communicate to users
• Experience with Perl or equivalent scripting language

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
