The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for execution and management of all accounting processes, while reporting to the CEO and overseeing a small team.
Responsibilities:
Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
Oversees preparation of business activity reports, as well as assists the Executive team with financial forecasts and budgets as needed.
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Works with external US, Costa Rica and UK CPA firms to provide accurate reporting and payments needed for tax filings.
Manages accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Maintains accrual schedules and reconciliations.
Manages monthly transactions in multi-entity bookkeeping system and reconciles intercompany activity in multi-currencies.
Reconciles project management system revenue and costs to general ledger for accurate reporting.
Performs efficient and accurate month-end close processes for multi-entity accounts.
Executes and manages bimonthly payroll processes for domestic and monthly payroll processes for international employees.
Serves as a hands-on HR partner to help manage company administration processes.
Oversees and assists A/R monthly billing processes.
Oversees and assists A/P processes and vendor payment approvals..
Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
Provides financial analysis ad hoc for the Executive team.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Plans, leads, and supervises the activities of accounting team members.
Provides on-the-job training and guidance as needed.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Gathers and analyzes data as needed to monitor and improve the current and future financial status of the company.
Reviews financial reporting structures and accounting procedures; recommends improvements to procedural, operational, and financial controls.
Manages the flow of cash and financial instruments.
Reviews collection reports to determine the status and outstanding amounts of collections.
Prepares and presents financial and other related reports as required by company policy, local, state, and/or federal laws and regulations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
