    1 section equals .25 FTE

    The Department of Communication Studies hires continuing, contract, or adjunct instructors from an applicant pool. Instructors are hired to teach a variety of courses in three focus areas: 1) Relational and Organizational Communication; 2) Media and Visual Culture; and 3) Rhetoric and Civic Engagement. Course assignments include public speaking, popular culture, public argumentation, group communication, interpersonal communication, nonverbal communication, evaluating contemporary television, critical media studies, evaluating contemporary film, film history, and organizational communication.

    Candidates with demonstrated specialization(s) in one of the three focus areas may be eligible to teach upper-division courses. A full-time instructor teaches four (4) sections per semester. Appointees at .5 FTE or more are eligible for benefits. Positions are available depending on enrollments/funding.
  • The Veterinary Assistant class series uses three levels and describes assistant/support work in the field of veterinary medicine. Positions in this class should have an overall education in veterinary health and handling of a variety of domestic, exotic, and large animal species with emphasis on assisting the entire veterinary team. Positions perform tasks that are structured and designed to provide training and experience in the appropriate occupation. Tasks are performed under direct supervision and detailed instruction and guidance is received. Employees in this class learn to apply established practices and methods directly related to the assignment.

  • Temporary Postdoctoral Fellow positions may become available throughout the year in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology in the area of Bacteriology research. The projected postdoctoral positions would involve project planning, data acquisition, data analysis and manuscript preparation. Bacteriology, particularly the study of mycobacteria, is a major area of research emphasis in the Department.

  • The Department of Animal Sciences accepts applications on an ongoing basis from individuals who are interested in providing care and maintenance of horses and facilities at the Temple Grandin Equine Center, Fort Collins location.
  • The Department of Computer Science at CSU seeks an instructor to teach 100-, 200- and 300- level computer science courses during the 2023-2024 academic year. The position's normal workload is teaching 3 established courses per semester. The instructor is expected to adapt course materials to best fit their teaching style without altering core content.     The instructor will lecture, conduct office hours, administer exams and quizzes, develop assignments, and establish and apply grading rubrics (either directly grading or with the help of undergraduate teaching assistants (UTAs) that the instructor supervises).

    This is a non-tenure track position and an annual appointment, which may be renewed based on performance and projected course demand.

    Instructors must hold a Masters of Science degree (or higher) in computer science or a closely related field by the start of the assignment.

    • Implement program logistics for the CoSMic network – supporting education, Research & Development (including proposals), and center activities.
    • Participating in CoSMic research and education strategy and visioning.

  • The HVAC Manager provides supervisory oversight for all HVAC and BAS maintenance and repair activities through the direct supervision of six FTE. This position oversees the completion of all maintenance, repair, installation, and diagnostics for Housing & Dining HVAC and Building Automation Systems, as well as mechanical and controls equipment, components, and fixtures. Equipment maintained includes chiller systems, heating boilers, domestic boilers, water heaters, air handling units, ventilation systems, compressors, valves, and pipes requiring the ability to complete diagnostics and other systems tests, complete compressor replacements, read and interpret prints, as well as understand and respond to associated controls software.

    The position serves as a supervisor for six FTE and is responsible for assigning work, evaluating the quality of work performed, instructing, and training. Supervisory duties include accountability for the use of equipment, space, and resources, and the completion of performance planning. This position is accountable, including signature authority, for actions and decisions impacting pay, status, and tenure of employees. This position may be required to issue corrective actions and address grievances and other disciplinary actions.

    This position will have direct interface with customers (residents), HDS Facilities staff, and University Housing leadership. The position will assist, support, and lead staff in developing solutions, and outlining work plans for specified projects and/or maintenance functions as required. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for the completion of preventative maintenance tasks and subsequent reports; will also advise on potential failures and faulty equipment. The position will instruct all reporting staff on safety protocols and will review job plans for safe work compliance.

    This HVAC Manager position supports all in-house processes and coordinates work with other supervisory trades and positions and ensures that the work performed is done accurately, safely, and within specifications or standards. This may include requesting any needed code or print review. This position will have oversight on all work performed within the work unit. This position maintains a five-day work week position.

    Moving Expenses may be provided to successful candidate.
    The selected candidate may be eligible for a $2500 signing bonus.
  • Research Associate I, II or III positions are available in the Department of Clinical Sciences, in the area(s) of animal health, infectious disease, cancer, orthopedics, and reproduction. These positions include interaction with the Principal Investigator as well as other research assistants. The individual will be part of a team of researchers completing a federally funded research project and will have a broad range of responsibilities.

    The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. by date of hire; the Clinical Sciences department will not provide visa sponsorship for these positions.
