  • Multiple Archaeologist positions are available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) to support U.S. Army Garrison installations on the islands of Oahu (Schofield Barracks) and Island of Hawaii (Pohakuloa Training Area). These positions will support all fieldwork activities, including accompanying cultural accesses, monitoring, pedestrian survey, data collection and input, and coordination of assigned tasks/projects. The Archaeologist will familiarize themselves with installation plans, undertakings, and cultural studies and inventories; and supervise Cultural Resources staff in the field.

    The Archaeologists will work closely, and in collaboration with, the CEMML Cultural Resources Project Manager (Supervisor) and Army Cultural Resource Managers (CRMs).

    Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Coordinates scheduling and support from individuals in Army, Federal, and State positions, and contractors, to accomplish fieldwork.
    • When implementing fieldwork, may supervise a team of archaeologists and/or field technicians. May be assigned control and coordination of projects under guidance from CEMML Cultural Resources Project Manager.
    • All work must be done in accordance with applicable Army, Federal, and State regulations and laws, especially regarding historic/cultural preservation, endangered species, safety, and health. Participates in public outreach activities.
    • Work in areas with UXO with professional EOD supervision.
    • Must be able to communicate and interact with internal/external staff, officials, and public in a professional manner.
    • Work requires some independent judgment/decision making, technical writing and organizational skills, attention to detail, and people skills.
    • Must be able to work in a structured work environment with established lines of authority, procedures, and protocols.
    • May be asked to work in subterranean environments (lava tubes).
    • Must be able to drive a 4x4 vehicle over rough terrain.
    • Fieldwork spanning several hours is commonly required over rough terrain at elevations of 5,000 to 10,000 feet.

    Work location is dependent on the needs of the partner/project/role. In some instances, positions may require staff to be fully in-person. In other instances, hybrid or remote arrangements may be possible.
  • The Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences at Colorado State University (CSU) is searching for a faculty member to be part of the nationally recognized and ABET accredited program in Industrial Hygiene (IH). The IH Program is part of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) funded Mountain and Plains Education and Research Center with programs also in Occupational Ergonomics and Safety, Health Physics, Occupational Health Psychology, and Occupational Medicine. There are also opportunities for collaboration with faculty in the Epidemiology, Toxicology, and Environmental Public Health programs as well as the Colorado School of Public Health. Other opportunities with this position include involvement in the NIOSH-funded High Plains Intermountain Center for Agricultural Health and Safety (HICAHS) at CSU. Candidates whose research involves occupational exposure assessment and control (e.g., aerosols, ventilation, nanotechnology, noise, non-ionizing radiation) as well as other occupational health and safety topics are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities include teaching, research and service. Teach and mentor students in our graduate and undergraduate programs in occupational and environmental health with a focus in IH and safety issues. Provide curricular guidance to students, supervise student research, and coordinate with other faculty in successful completion of student theses, dissertations, and research publications. Develop and conduct an independently funded research program in your area of expertise. Serve on committees within and external to the University.

    The Department has a strong tradition in occupational and environmental health, epidemiology, occupational safety and ergonomics, toxicology and health physics. Research and collaboration opportunities exist throughout the Department, the University, and at the Center for Work, Health & the Environment at the Colorado School of Public Health.
  • This part-time position exists to ensure adequate coverage in the following areas:
    • Business Office, Medical Records, Reception, and Call Center

    The position directs clients and telephone calls to appropriate veterinary clinicians or departments from both the reception area and the call center; and to provide administrative support to clinicians and students caring for patients’ in-hospital or ambulatory by scheduling clients for optimal facility utilization using various parameters. Enters charges for procedures performed and collects monies owed for services rendered. Assist Medical Records in filing records, preparing charts, making copies, and handling requests for records.

    When in reception area, this position will focus on the clients when they arrive on-site and for the duration of their visit, appointment or procedure. Specifically, this role will be responsible to check clients into the hospital, direct individuals, assist with client concerns, update electronic scheduling system, keep clients informed and ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner in the hospital. They will directly influence the clients’ VTH experience. This position will support and cross cover for the call center, reception, medical records, and client services areas.

    When working in the call center, this position will focus on pre-admission/pre-registration and communications. Specifically, this role will be responsible for answering all calls coming into the hospital currently on the operator line, small and large animal direct lines, scheduling appointments, paging/connecting clinicians and routing calls appropriately. This role will also maintain online scheduling system, verify client/patient information, verify rDVM contact information, explain appointment process and procedures and determine patient service area based on nature of medical concerns and urgency of condition.

    Functions and duties will vary depending on scheduled/assigned area for any given day. The expectation is that this position will be proficient in all areas. The area assigned for a given day or time of day is subject to sudden and immediate change. This position will greet each change with goodwill and positive attitude. Hours worked per day are flexible within the work week.

    This is an essential worker position and must be willing and able to report to work as directed to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay or interruption.

    This part-time position will have working hours between 6:30am-midnight, and may be asked to adjust work hours to meet the needs of the department and university.

    The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

    A combination of signing bonus + moving expenses may be available for eligible candidates; not to exceed $1000 max.
  • With the goal of becoming a $200M/year fundraising institution, the Associate Director of Principal Gifts Stewardship position is designed to envision, build, and execute a donor-centric principal gifts stewardship program that elegantly and respectfully recognizes and appreciates CSU’s community of transformational donors and ensures their gifts are stewarded appropriately.

    This position will contribute to this goal by managing existing high-level stewardship activities, cultivating relationships of collaboration with key internal partners, attending strategy meetings on transformational donor journeys, and executing high-level stewardship efforts for top donors on individualized engagement plans. This includes monitoring important giving and personal milestones and curating new ideas for opportunities that celebrate milestones, supporting stewardship visit planning of transformation donors, and building relationships with beneficiaries of transformative donor giving.

  • This position coordinates and supports the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council. The Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council (COFSAC) is a 23-member legislatively mandated body comprised of a broad spectrum of representatives from government and non-government entities. The volunteer members represent most sectors of the food system. The Staff Director for the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council is responsible for:
    • Serving as the university’s primary point of contact for governmental, NGO, and other non-extension community-based food systems initiatives seeking collaboration and support and CSU food systems stakeholders including campus and field-based staff and students.
    • Collaborating with the State Coordinator of the NW and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center to fulfill Colorado’s engagement initiatives.
    • Pursuing external funds to advance key priorities and projects as identified by the COFSAC Council.
    • Supporting externally funded projects through meeting facilitation, writing grant reports, contributions to newsletters and public facing communications, and evaluating results/impacts.

  • The Department of Ethnic Studies hires temporary, part-time instructors from an applicant pool for fall, spring, and/or summer terms to teach courses in the areas of Ethnic Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies.     The Center for Women’s Studies and Gender Research (CWSGR) is an interdisciplinary apex of research, academic, teaching, and outreach program housed within the Department of Ethnic Studies. This position will be expected to provide exceptional service to VDL clientele.

    The applicant should be responsible and able to work in a team environment. This is an essential position, and the employee is required to report to work, without delay, on all/most weather closure days and various holidays throughout the year. This position will be required to report to work for emergency disease response requests and may be required to work significant hours (exceeding 40 hours per week) during a disease outbreak detection and response effort, export testing effort, or other important diagnostic effort.

    The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; Colorado State University Diagnostic Laboratories will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
