  • This Human Resources Service Center Representative position is responsible for providing customer service excellence to Academic Faculty, Administrative Professionals, Post Doctoral Fellows, and State Classified employees while applying specialized knowledge to answer inquiries.
    This position will serve as the first ‘point of contact’ with Human Resources and the ability to create a positive first impression is essential. This position must demonstrate professionalism (respect, kindness, confidence, integrity, and honesty in all matters) while servicing the informational/technical requests of customers via walk-in, telephone, or email. Serving both internal and external customers in an equitable, impartial, and confidential manner is an essential job requirement.

    A large percentage of the HR Service Center customer inquiries of this position requires the competency to communicate technical information in accordance with rules and regulations. This position will interpret and explain policies and procedures relating to Academic Faculty, Administrative Professionals, Post-Doctoral Fellows, and State Classified employees including retirement program regulations, benefit program regulations, payroll withholding issues and advise appropriately. The ability to demonstrate knowledge in other functional areas of Human Resources is important and will include services provided in all units of HR.

    Note to Applicants: This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule rotating with the other staff and based upon business needs. There will be a full in-person presence for a minimum of 6-8 weeks with hands-on training, and once the training period is complete and performance expectations are being met a hybrid schedule is available.
  • The Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences at Colorado State University (CSU) is searching for a faculty member to be part of the nationally recognized and ABET accredited program in Industrial Hygiene (IH). The IH Program is part of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) funded Mountain and Plains Education and Research Center with programs also in Occupational Ergonomics and Safety, Health Physics, Occupational Health Psychology, and Occupational Medicine. There are also opportunities for collaboration with faculty in the Epidemiology, Toxicology, and Environmental Public Health programs as well as the Colorado School of Public Health. Other opportunities with this position include involvement in the NIOSH-funded High Plains Intermountain Center for Agricultural Health and Safety (HICAHS) at CSU. Candidates whose research involves occupational exposure assessment and control (e.g., aerosols, ventilation, nanotechnology, noise, non-ionizing radiation) as well as other occupational health and safety topics are encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities include teaching, research and service. Teach and mentor students in our graduate and undergraduate programs in occupational and environmental health with a focus in IH and safety issues. Provide curricular guidance to students, supervise student research, and coordinate with other faculty in successful completion of student theses, dissertations, and research publications. Develop and conduct an independently funded research program in your area of expertise. Serve on committees within and external to the University.

    The Department has a strong tradition in occupational and environmental health, epidemiology, occupational safety and ergonomics, toxicology and health physics.   • Several Teaching Aide positions are available in the Professional Veterinary Medical program at Colorado State University which will support the program’s Foundations in Clinical Practices course.

    The individuals will be required to assist in the instruction and evaluation of veterinary students in the performance of physical, ophthalmologic, dermatologic, cardiologic, and pain assessment exams of small animals. They must help to evaluate these student exams in a clinical setting. They are expected to implement the guidelines set in the student syllabus.

    All positions are temporary and are not benefit eligible. Positions are for one semester with the potential of continuing the following semester. Hours worked are approximately 2-6 hours per week depending on the employee’s schedule as well as the need for clinical educators for the courses for that semester. The course runs approximately 8-9 weeks per semester and there is a 2-3 hour orientation at the beginning of each semester as well as a one hour introduction class period that aides are required to attend. Hours preparing outside of the class environment will be paid. Hourly wage for these positions is $22.00-$32.00/hour depending on experience and no benefits.   • Under supervision of the Area Manager, the Supervisory Foresters are responsible for general administrative duties and the direct oversight, management, development and implementation projects within one or more of the following functional areas:

    a 12-month, 2-year contract, non-tenure track Instructor or Assistant Professor in Equine Emergency Surgery and Critical Care.

    The Equine Emergency Surgery and Critical Care Service position manages the equine emergency surgery and critical care caseload at the Johnson Family Equine Hospital (JFEH). This position will support clinical and didactic teaching in the DVM program, graduate student/resident and fellow training, and research in Equine Emergency Surgery and Critical Care. The position also supports an important clinical service in the JFEH in client service and revenue generation. This faculty position will provide up to 34 weeks of clinical service. Additionally, we expect the successful candidate will seek out opportunities and participate in collaborative research.     The Center for Women’s Studies and Gender Research (CWSGR) is an interdisciplinary apex of research, academic, teaching, and outreach program housed within the Department of Ethnic Studies. Emergency and Critical Care Services provide medical care for small animals and exotics on an emergency basis and intensive 24-hour care to patients who are admitted for extended treatment.
