  • Operates and performs heavy equipment, light equipment, and onsite labor in execution of Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) projects for the Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) program as part of the Sustainable Range Program at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Specific areas of responsibility are listed below in the Essential Job Duties section.
  • The Project and Communications Manager will support the CSAAP program with the following:
    • Coordinate internal multistate team communications and external communications,
    • Develop outreach materials and manage communications with partners, sponsors and other diverse stakeholders, including technology and ag industry representatives,
    • Organize and manage meetings,
    • Track progress toward project objectives,
    • Guide data management,
    • Write project reports,
    • Manage and organize documents and templates developed and used by our multistate team,
    • Provide support for budgeting and tracking team activities to ensure transparency and accountability,
    • Participate in development and execution of project research, outreach activities, and publications.
  • The School of Education seeks applications between July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Higher Education Leadership program for the 2023-2024 academic year. 

    Instructors teach hybrid courses (using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies) in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.

  • Instructors are hired (as needed) for a single semester to teach introductory (and occasionally upper-division) courses in archaeology, cultural and biological anthropology.
  • The Research Associate will support the CSU-TAPS program by:
    • CSU-TAPS 2024 season field operations planning, research plot layout, design of fertigation and variable rate irrigation system operations
    • Installation, calibration, management and maintenance of field sensors including soil moisture probes, in-field weather and plant monitoring sensors; soil flux and gas analyzers; management of the program for aerial and drone data acquisition.
    • Irrigation scheduling using models, environmental and weather data
    • Acquiring, organizing, and analyzing data from the CSU-TAPS competition
    • Supporting the design and management of irrigation and water management research to be conducted in parallel with the CSU-TAPS program
    • Communicating with technology and industry representatives to assess and demonstrate precision irrigation tools and practices in the TAPS competitions.
    • Prepare reports and publications on the CSU-TAPS program and associated research.
    • Coordinate with TAPS and Master Irrigator (MI) programs in other western states
  • This is an HVAC Technician position. This position will provide technical expertise in the areas of HVAC equipment, boilers, and commercial kitchen equipment. This position will troubleshoot HVAC & Plumbing Mechanical systems. This position is a fully functioning journey level HVAC Technician.

    This position will also be responsible for the troubleshooting, replacing, monitoring, repair, and service for the following systems: HVAC, dining equipment, plumbing, wastewater treatment, and associated controls systems and all related hardware, software, and alarms, boilers, and HVAC equipment, and associated mechanical components.

    Troubleshoots, monitors, repairs, and services a variety of HVAC/R equipment including programing, calibrating, testing, monitoring, and adjusting system parameters for efficient operation.

    This position will also be required to perform general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, plumbing, painting, electrical, structural repairs to walls, ceilings, floors, doors and door hardware, grounds, snow removal, and kitchen equipment.

    This position is required to access a variety of spaces not limited to basements, tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, chases, and roofs using stairs, ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and other means to service or inspect equipment.

    There is a signing bonus of $2,500 to the eligible selected candidate.
  • Provide a contributing role to the technological aspects of animal and human imaging research projects and provide expertise in research application using CT, Nuclear Medicine, and MRI. Work with researchers on advancing technologies and innovative imaging techniques using both software and hardware developments. Perform clinical imaging with high and low field MRI, helical and cone beam CT, PETCT, and nuclear medicine on animal patients. The technologist is primarily responsible for the development of protocols based on discussion with clinical or research faculty. The Advanced Imaging Technologist will provide service to the clinical animal advanced imaging section (CT, MRI, NM and PET/CT) while assisting with technological aspects of clinical animal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine (NM) and positron emission tomography(PET/CT) imaging. Supporting animal and human imaging research projects is expected. This includes overseeing advanced imaging facility and equipment function, QA/QC, and applications training. They are responsible for scheduling procedures to avoid conflicts with clinical patients and to keep various clinicians, radiologists and researchers informed of the imaging schedule. Perform advanced imaging exams ordered by clinicians on veterinary patients. Participate in nuclear medicine, and radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging studies as needed to support clinical cases and research. The Technologist also has an important role in educating faculty, staff, and students in the proper and safe use of the MRI and CT/PET equipment, radiation safety, in conducting CT and PET-CT and nuclear medicine studies, and in uses of CT,PET/CT, and MRI for research.

    This is an essential worker position and must be willing and able to report to work as directed to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay or interruption.

    The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

    A signing bonus and/or moving expenses may be considered for eligible and successful candidates.
  • Multiple Archaeologist positions are available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) to support U.S. Army Garrison installations on the islands of Oahu (Schofield Barracks) and Island of Hawaii (Pohakuloa Training Area). These positions will support all fieldwork activities, including accompanying cultural accesses, monitoring, pedestrian survey, data collection and input, and coordination of assigned tasks/projects. The Archaeologist will familiarize themselves with installation plans, undertakings, and cultural studies and inventories; and supervise Cultural Resources staff in the field.

    The Archaeologists will work closely, and in collaboration with, the CEMML Cultural Resources Project Manager (Supervisor) and Army Cultural Resource Managers (CRMs).

    Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Coordinates scheduling and support from individuals in Army, Federal, and State positions, and contractors, to accomplish fieldwork.
    • When implementing fieldwork, may supervise a team of archaeologists and/or field technicians. May be assigned control and coordination of projects under guidance from CEMML Cultural Resources Project Manager.
    • All work must be done in accordance with applicable Army, Federal, and State regulations and laws, especially regarding historic/cultural preservation, endangered species, safety, and health. Participates in public outreach activities.
    • Work in areas with UXO with professional EOD supervision.
    • Must be able to communicate and interact with internal/external staff, officials, and public in a professional manner.
    • Work requires some independent judgment/decision making, technical writing and organizational skills, attention to detail, and people skills.
    • Must be able to work in a structured work environment with established lines of authority, procedures, and protocols.
    • May be asked to work in subterranean environments (lava tubes).
    • Must be able to drive a 4x4 vehicle over rough terrain.
    • Fieldwork spanning several hours is commonly required over rough terrain at elevations of 5,000 to 10,000 feet.
